This should not be such a great mystery. Sexual temptation does not wait until a pre-determined age or selfish career goal is met. People who waited selfishly to get married often did not resist temptation well, and so are already divorced, by virtue of the one flesh union being broken in immoral unions. The serial monogamist has joined himself to potentially multitudes of people, and is already used to leaving the physical commitment engendered by God. Marriage is not only holy, it is good and healthy for those who cannot refrain from lust. It is a safe, protective place given by God. But why do we rebel against it so much? It is due to sin and unbelief. —ed.

Christian News is a newspaper that covers current events in the theological secular arenas and how they affect your church and life. Christian News is not an official organ of any church-body, but an independent publication designed to supply rank and file Christians with information needed to face the present crises in Christendom. Christian News is not a doctrinally neutral observer, but is committed to the full historic Christian faith, as it is authoritatively revealed in the written Word of God, the Holy Scriptures, and correctly set forth in the Confessions of the Orthodox Church to wit, the Book of Concord in 1580.
