Proverbs 17:22, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crush Spirit dries up the bones.”
You may have read and heard this story: “There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and saw that she had only three hairs on her head. “Well,” she said, I think I will braid my hair today. So she did, and she had a wonderful day. The next day, this same woman woke up, looked in the mirror, and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. She said, “Today, I am going to wear my hair in pigtails.” She did, and she had a fun day. The next day, she woke up, looked in the mirror, and noticed that there was only one hair on her head. She said, “I will wear my hair in a ponytail!” She did, and she had another great day. The next day, she woke up and saw that she had no hair on her head. She said, “It is a great day today because I don’t have to fix my hair!”

The devil will use anything to take the joy, peace, and contentment that the Holy Spirit gives to us. Satan seeks every way he can to instill fear and doubts in us so that we will not trust in God’s all sufficient grace to help and sustain us in life.

But there is good news for us in all conditions. The God of Mercy and Grace who gave up His Son, Jesus, to die for us is truly with us all the way into Heaven by His grace. God raised Jesus from death to save and forgive us, and He assures us that nothing in life and in death can defeat and separate us from His love. We are precious to Him because of His great love to us in Christ. Please read Romans 8:31-39. My friends, Christians, are winners in all conditions in life through Christ.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help us to trust that we can face all things in Christ who gives us the strength. Give us your joy, peace, and contentment. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
